The Dickenson County Board of Supervisors on June 27, 2023, in the second floor conference room at the Dickenson Center for Education and Research in Clintwood Virginia, will hold a Public Hearing at 5:30 p.m. to receive public comment concerning the amendment of the 2022- 2023 fiscal year budgets for Dickenson County, pursuant to § 15.2-2507 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended. The amended budget would make the following changes:
The proposed amendment would add an additional $6,325,634 in revenues to the General Fund Budget from Coal and Gas Severance Receipts, Opioid Abatement funding, and other grant funding, with offsetting Expenditures for the General Reassessment, Salaries & Benefits and Reserve for Contingencies.
The proposed amendment to E-911 Services would add $150,339 in revenues from the General County Fund, with offsetting Expenditures for Salaries and Benefits and other equipment costs.
The proposed amendment to Coal and Gas Road Tax Fund Budget would add $5,145,000 in revenues for Coal and Gas Severance Receipts, with offsetting Expenditures for Road improvements, Water and Sewer projects and CEDA.
