Separate sealed Bids for the Rita Lane Improvements for the Dickenson County Board of Supervisors, which consists of the construction of approximately 1,100 linear feet of roadway improvements from Route 731 to the end of Rita Lane including earthwork, paving, drainage, erosion and sediment control, and associated items; will be received by Mr. David Moore, Jr., County Administrator, at the Dickenson Center for Education and Research, P.O. Box 1098, 818 Happy Valley Drive, Clintwood, VA 24228, until 2:00 P.M., local prevailing time, on April 16, 2020, and then at Room 163 (Industrial Training Room B) publicly opened and read aloud.

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on March 31, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. All interested parties are requested to meet the Engineer at Dickenson Center for Education and Research, 818 Happy Valley Drive, Room 163 (Industrial Training Room B), Clintwood, VA 24228 at that time.
Withdrawal of bids shall be according to procedure (i) of the Virginia Public Procurement Act and to the Code of Virginia (§ 2.2-4330).
Bids must be accompanied by Bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders.
Each Bidder must be licensed as a Class A contractor in the State of Virginia; Bidders are instructed to review the Code of Virginia, Title 54.1, Chapter 11, prior to bidding.
Each Bidder must be a Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Pre-Qualified Contractor.
By submission of a signed Bid, the Bidder certifies total compliance with Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, and all regulations promulgated thereunder.
