The Dickenson County Board of Supervisors has declared the contents of Clintwood High School as surplus property. Accordingly, from Wednesday, October 23 to Saturday, October 26, 2019 , between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. there will be an open house to allow the public to pick up any available items which are on display. Available items include, but are not limited to: student desks, tables, chairs, books, shelving, lockers, and other small items.
Also, for those that signed up for larger items at Haysi High School, due to the overwhelming demand, we will be open first come first serve for those items from Monday, October 21 to Wednesday, October 23, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Individuals MUST be able to provide you own labor in removing, carrying, and hauling of all items individuals wish to take.
This is your last chance for items from either of these high schools. There will be no future dates of opening.
The cost is FREE, but the Board of Supervisors asks that, in lieu of payments to the County, that individuals donate to the Dickenson County Department of Social Services Emergency Fund or the Dickenson County Food Bank. Donations to both organizations can be made at the Clintwood DSS Office.
