DEPUTY CLERK I
DICKENSON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT
Dickenson County Clerk’s Office is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Deputy Clerk I. Requires knowledge of standard office practices, procedures and equipment. Must have excellent computer skills. Duties include, but are not limited to, recording deeds, judgments and other documents; bookkeeping skills including daily reporting requirements, management of court investment accounts and multiple state reporting requirements using multiple in-house and online computer systems, assisting the public, attorneys, paralegals; issuing marriage licenses, subpoenas, giving oaths of office. This position supports the Clerk as an assistant with other tasks as needed. BS Degree in Business Administration, Information technology management or equivalent experience preferred – must have strong accounting background and must maintain confidentiality.
Upon acceptance of position, individual must submit to (and pass) criminal background and drug test.
