Career Readiness Certificate
Virginia's Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) is an assessment-based credential endorsed by Governor McDonnell that gives employers and career seekers a uniform measure of key workplace skills. CRC testing is available through the WIA Adult office located in the Dickenson Center for Education and Research.
WIOA (Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act)
The Southwest Virginia Workforce Development Board’s WIOA (Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act) program provides offers assistance with career guidance, job search, and training for eligible participants and endeavors to meet employers' needs through incentives such as on-the-job training reimbursement which develop occupational skills, promote job retention, and reduce the financial risk of employee turnover.
WIOA services benefit job seekers, adults, dislocated workers, youth, and businesses.
