Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court

Roles & Responsibilities
This office processes petitions for child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, and protective orders in cases of domestic violence or involving a juvenile as well as petitions filed by the Department of Social Services in cases of child neglect or abuse. The office also screens complaints concerning juveniles alleged to have committed a criminal offense or for being truant from school, runaway from home, or beyond control of parents. The office also supervises juveniles who are placed on probation by the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
